When we started the first site a number of years ago, it was to share what we know of our country and our horses. After 20 years in research, live television news and documentaries, it was a natural outlet for my writing, videos and photography.
From there things just grew. There are now close on 300 pages of articles, stories, art, information and questions answered about andalusian and spanish horses. We are recognised as pioneers, and the leading english websites on the spanish horse coming out of Spain.

Why two websites about andalusian and spanish horses?
This site, Pure-Spanish-Horse-Spain, has grown out of the success and fun we had with our original website, andalusians-for-you.com.
Built with a fair amount of trial and error by the two of us, Andrés and Josephine Cánovas Rodriguez, that original andalusian aficionado website from spain, rose to the top of the rankings on all the search engines. We did no advertising, no link exchanging, no PPCs or web rings - we didn’t even know what those were.
We write out of our experience, and illustrate our stories with many, many photos of our life with the horses here in Spain. People write in to tell us how they find us, and come to us simply because of what we have to say. They appreciate the insight that our real life videos present, and our clearly stated policy of filming ethics.

Our websites on spanish horses are about the andalusian world of PRE horses. The horses we concentrate on are from our own stud, and we often share about those from breeders and trainers we know.
You see the horses as we see them - realistically, yet never losing that touch of a dream.
We will continue to add resources to the websites, to do our own photos and filming, and to present you with what we see here among the horses of Spain, Andalucia and Portugal.
