To import a horse from Europe to the UK, and to move one from Spain to elsewhere in Europe, does not require the same vet and quarantine procedures necessary further afield.

TRANSPORT
By road, often as a shared trip. The inter-european show scene leads to much horse movement, there is a steady flow of polo ponies through Europe, and much such traffic to the UK.
Racehorses also travel across the european countries.
From Spain to England, Scotland and Wales the route is usually up through France or Holland, and across the channel. Ireland is a boat trip further.
