EMILIO ORDOÑEZ REDONDO

Emilio Ordoñez Redondo graduated from the Real Escuela del Arte Ecuestre, Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, in 2005.

The Royal School is considered one of Europe's 4 major National dressage centres, along with Vienna, Saumur, and Portugal.

In his entry year Emilio was one of just 3 candidates chosen out of 150 applicants.

For four years he trained directly under Olympic medallist, Rafael Soto, who is Senior Instructor at the School, and who involves himself with the younger promising riders. He was then asked to stay on for a 5th year as a student teacher.

On leaving the Escuela, Emilio spent 4 years as a rider at CAR-ANCCE, the Centre for Higher Training of the National Association for the PRE in Jerez, which concentrates on producing top level PREs for dressage.

He now has his own training yard, and also rides and trains specific horses for private studs and for the National Carthusian Stud at La Cartuja. As well as dressage, he works with PRE horses in hand, showing in the spanish discipline of Functionality

Bambu XX now in the UK

Bambu was trained from the outset by Emilio. He competed successfully with him in Spain.

In August of 2008 Emilio rode Bambu in 2 dressage classes at the British National PRE show, held under BAPSH. He won both classes, and obtained the highest scores of the 3 day show.

Armas Realejo

Emilio dedicated many hours to training Armas Realejo at CAR-ANCCE, the Centre for Higher Training of the National Association for the PRE in Jerez, de la Frontera. Armas Realejo was sold to the USA at the beginning of 2008.

Torrijo

Emilio trained Torrijo at his own yard, and competed successfully on him in dressage in Spain. Torrijo is now in Germany.
