Lentisco Caldero is a classic purebred spanish (sometimes called andalusian) stallion.
Bay, with a thick long mane, and a striking coat colour. Intelligent and fun to be around, he began his basic training here in andalucia, southern spain.
We raised him from a baby, and have a foto and video record of his growing up, as well as frequent entries in the blog pages. As with all our youngsters we watched his character and development, and let him show us his direction.
He loves his trail rides, and being outdoors. Andres worked with him in western gear and with Natural Horsemanship ground work. This resulted in one of our favorite videos, simply shot, in the course of a normal day’s work
He passed his Revision (graded as apt for breeding, previously known as apto) at 3 years of age, and, like all our stock, is correctly registered in the Spanish Stud Book and with ANCCE here in Spain. More on spanish horse papers
He carries lines we like, including Pallares, Plaza de Armas and Pol de Nuñez in the 2rd and 3rd generation. But we breed and train to sell, so the smile-making boy was presented.
And the perfect home appeared - as it always does.
Now, as at September 2009, Lentisco is about to head across the Channel and up into a beautiful area of Scotland where he will have paddocks to run in, moors to range on, and a very caring and loving owner.
