PRE Bloodlines - Some Observations
- Pallares is one of the oldest and most impactful lines on the PRE horses that have that ’edge’of spanish classic beauty. I work with quite a few horses of these lines and mixes, as well as breeding with them, and have never been disappointed. They tend to be taller, longer moving, intelligent and very receptive.
- Romero Benitez are classic, often pure white. They tend to be rounder and truly baroque (in contrast to the clunky, neck-heavy horses that some would tag with that attribute). They are an integral part of the history of the PRE, absolutely superb in their day.
- Martinez Boloix is regarded as one of the consistently good lines of black PREs
- Bohorquez - not Borquez Ruiz, the old line, are absolute foundation stock. Strong, well built, good looking.
We are building this information base on PRE bloodlines, often using as examples horses within our Group.
