Peregrino - The Immediate Vision

Andres and I want to be living there as soon as possible. We both come from rather pioneering backgrounds, and so are not over hassled with ’city comforts’. We want to begin developing the ground to self-sustainability.

That includes wind and solar power, water collection by run-off and wells, and on-the-spot produce - from vegetables to eggs to meat and milk.

Of course, being us, we will for sure have horses, and having horses there would be no problem - we are even thinking of the possibility of doing trail rides. FABULOUS country for that.

We are just beginning to investigate a possible collaboration with a Corporate Training Group, developing Wilderness courses on Learning and Leadership.

There is a rise in interest up north in western riding and Natural Horsemanship, tho’ still not too many practitioners.

To implement the development, we need to be there, both to put it into place, and - probably harder than digging veggie patches - getting the paperwork in order.

Spain’s processes generally involve a good amount of paperwork, BUT if you do it right, it all works out.

Peregrino - The Long Term Vision

God-Centred around Horses and Children. Outdoor living, trail rides, camp-outs, school trips, church camps.

A hands-on working environment with animals and involvement.

A place where God is shown through HIs creation. Where

  • children, especially those from the cities, can come, and spend time in the valley
  • adults can come and relax
  • people can learn new skills, especially horse related
