Emilio trained at and Graduated from the Real Escuela del Arte Ecuestre in Jerez. The Royal School is considered one of Europe's 4 major National dressage centres, along with Vienna, Saumur, and Portugal.
In his entry year Emilio was one of just 3 candidates chosen out of 150 applicants.
He worked directly under Olympic rider, Rafael Soto, who is Senior Instructor at the School, and who involves himself with the younger promising riders. He was then asked to stay on for a 5th year as a student teacher.
On leaving the Escuela, he spent 4 years as a rider at CAR-ANCCE, the Centre for Higher Training of the National Association for the PRE in Jerez, which concentrates on producing top level PREs for dressage.
He now has his own training yard, and also rides and trains specific horses for the National Carthusian Stud at La Cartuja.

Now training with Emilio. |
Emilio has trained our horses over the past years.
One of these was Bambu, who found a new home in the UK at the beginning of 2008.
Since then Bambu has continued to present excellent and consistent dressage performances with his talented rider,
Sarah Fox, in competition with horses of all breeds.
We visited Britain in August of 2008, and Emilio rode Bambu in 2 dressage classes at the British National PRE show, held under BAPSH. He won both classes, and obtained the highest scores of the entire 3 day show.
